MathPhDInFrance PhD Fellowship Program
MathPhDInFrance offers 48 fully funded PhD fellowships in Mathematical Sciences, with cohorts beginning in fall 2024 and 2025. This program, co-funded by the EU’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND initiative, provides a unique opportunity for PhD candidates to work under co-supervision between a Paris-region university and a partner institution elsewhere in France.
Key Program Features:
Dual Supervision: Each fellow is co-supervised by professors from two universities, one in the Paris area and one in another French region. Fellows split their time between the two institutions, benefiting from diverse academic environments.
Financial Support: Fellows receive a monthly living allowance (about €1,850 net), full health coverage, and up to €350/month for travel to the co-supervision site.
Professional Development: Fellows gain access to specialized conferences, workshops, and professional training.
Eligibility:
Mobility Requirement: Applicants must not have resided in France for more than 12 months over the past three years.
Research Experience: Open to early-stage researchers holding a master's degree or equivalent, within the first four years of their research career.
Application Timeline:
Step 1: Applications open Dec. 17, 2024, with a deadline of Feb. 14, 2025. Required documents include a CV, motivation letter, and scientific research proposal.
Step 2: Selected candidates refine their research proposal and secure supervisors by April 25, 2025.
